Here at Red Egg Design Group we love a challenge. One of our new clients is building a “traditional style” home and wants to incorporate some contemporary elements. First things first, we started with the kitchen design and color schematics.
We started with the idea of a two toned kitchen. By bringing in different cabinet colors a more contemporary feel is instantly achieved. Coordinating materials and finishes to complement this look are endless. Here is where some “pops” of shine and modern can come in to play.
A sketch is necessary to figure out how the tile design will lay out. Incorporating some glass tile and bronze accents will accent the cabinet colors and finishes.
While picking finishes it is helpful to lay all selections together to make sure they coordinate. Our travertine finish is the re-occurring element that ties all of these pieces together.
Light fixtures are a great way to add personality and style to the space. This one has the bronze elements that we are looking for and the contemporary twist.
Accenting the cabinets with unique hardware is a must. Here are the unique pulls and knobs that we are proposing.
Fingers crossed this project continues to run as smoothly as it has thus far. Progress photos will be uploaded shortly!
